Treated C24 is a structural timber that’s commonly used for stud walls, roof and floor joists, and structural joinery. The use of C24 grade timber, which has a smaller cross section, allows for higher loads, and longer spans. C24 grade has fewer weaknesses and knots than C16, so is stronger with a higher point load. It is machined to have rounded edges, smooth faces and sides, for a more uniformed piece of timber. It is also kiln dried to minimise moisture content and improve strength and stability, as well as pressure treated with preservatives to improve rotting resistance. Please note finished sizes are approximately 5-6mm smaller than nominal sizes. The finished size of this product that you will receive is 45mm x 145mm finished size. Timber classification UC2 is for the treatment, meaning it is for internal use only, making it perfect for internal framing or studwork.
